Hello, Any tips or tricks that anyone may want to share regarding establishing registration points with the red dot? I’m utilizing a circle with a cross in the center for my registration points in the Print & Cut module. Sometimes the red laser dot is hard to see in the center of the registration points.
Assuming you’re using a cross with horizontal and vertical lines, try angling the lines so that it forms an X. Sometimes this is easier to see
Instead of using a cross, make a hash (#) shape where the center represents the area to aim the dot. It may be easier to see in the gap rather than directly on the lines
Instead of a cross, consider a tiny circle shape that you aim in the center of.
Instead of engraved lines, depending on the material consider burning much deeper lines such that the red dot falls inside of the line when aligned. This will result in a very distinct change in the brightness and shape of the dot and may make it easier to see.
You can place a diaphragm mask or similar onto the exit point of the laser itself to both narrow and weaken the intensity of the beam. This may allow for easier and tighter alignment
