Has anyone tried to remove a layer of paint from another layer? I am going to see if I can paint a piece of metal with one color spray paint, the cover that with another color and try to remove it by fill mode so the first color shows through. I have a Longer Ray5 10W. If you have the same and have tried this, what were your settings and how did it go?
This is a very common technique used on canvas. Just do a material test and you might need to use a few more layers per color, then it’s easier to remove one or multiple layers.
I see some stunning work created with this method. It looks like the trick is using several layers of paint. Low laser power. You don’t want to to evaporate everything.
