I am in the process of replacing the C02 laser tube and power supply.
Got it hooked up and tested it and it did show 10ma of current but no laser beam.
Removed it from the machine and noticed the water would not drain and it looked like it was in the outer portion of the tube.
I suspect there was an internal seal that failed and let water into the wrong chamber.
Ten High has a new tube on the way.
They say they test them all before shipping … wonder what went wrong?
They could have broken it taking out of the testing jig… anywhere throughout the whole transport to your home…
Great they are replacing it… that’s what really counts.
Wonder why there was no beam…? If it’s drawing current it’s probably lasing. The only other hv path to ground is through the coolant… and that wouldn’t show on the mA meter.
Good luck
Got the replacement tube from Ten High and it works great.
Shipped the bad tube back to them … could not get all the water out of it.
New tube is strong and powerful as it should be.
Need to adjust the power supply output as it reaches 20 ma at a setting of 60%.
Other than that I am very happy with it.
I set the pulse to continuous, the power to 50% and set the lps for an output of 10.5mA so my max at 100% is 21mA, my tubes maximum…
I use ceramic screwdrivers to set that. Don’t trust I won’t plug it into some hv area… My supply is mounted where the adjustment is very hard to access.
Good luck
