I don’t think you can ever melt the glass. It will expand as it heat and shatter long before it reaches it’s melting point…

This seems to melt the TiO2 and cause a molecular bond to the substrate…

Not a good bond, then too much TiO2 or not enough heat…

Under a microscope the TiO2 does look like it’s been melted…

Those both look very nice indeed. Won’t the hummingbird feeder have a flow issue with a hole in the top of the bottle? Most of the dispenser/valves I have used expect a vacuum in the bottle to prevent the flow from pouring out and the action of the feeding allows more to feed down…
