I set up my job on the rotary, I am in the Y axis, And I cant get it to index. It lasers everything like it is flat. I checked it and I can get it to index through the jog buttons. But thats it. Can you help me out.
Can you provide a photo so that we can see what you mean? It would be helpful to see what your laser did to the object you’re lasering.
When you frame your design, does it frame accurately?
Please share a screenshot of your rotary settings and job in the workspace so that we can see if you need to change anything.
I can get it to rotate now. How do I get it to engrave evenly around the whole diameter? .300 in Diameter.
I would like for everything to be on a separate line. I know it’s in the setup, I just need a push in the right direction.
Here is our documentation for rotary with a GRBL machine. Click the Test button in your rotary window to verify that the roller or chuck makes one full rotation, pauses, then returns.
I’m not sure what you mean by this. A photo or example may be more useful to communicate what you’re looking for.
i have 4 lines of text that i would like evenly spaced on a .300 diameter. Its indexing but bunching things together.
is it possible to laser one line at a time? so everything is justified around the whole diameter? .300 dia and 4 lines of text, is there a formula or saetting for this?
I can’t get it to wrap the lines evenly around the pen.
the lines are reversed in order and not evenly spaced .300 dia.
example
the sun is rising
on the sea
and on the beach
and your life
but lasers
and your life
and on the beach
on the sea
the sun is rising
can you please help me with the settings, I am wasting product trying to figure this out.
what should my settings look like, I am not getting anywhere. I get a full rotation at 12800. But the lines are not evenly spaced, and they are in reverse.
If I’m reading this correctly, it’s the same question, posted at the same time?
Please don’t double post. It’s more difficult for us to help you and takes more time.
If so, maybe @JohnJohn can merge them for us?
In your rotary settings, you have the option the mirror output. If your text is reversed, I would enable ’ mirror output to rotary ’ to fix it.
Can I see a photo of the text not evenly spaced on your pen and a screenshot of the text in LightBurn? It would be helpful to see a screenshot of your rotary setup in too.
Here’s the photos you’ve requested
Thank you in advance
I don’t see a mirror option available in the setup page
Any idea on how I got this setup wrong?
Choose “Reverse Rotary Direction”
Thanks everyone for the info, I finally got it.
