When starting a project the laser compresses the rifpght side of. The letters and artwork
Show your setup, your rotary with the tumbler on it, the results you’re getting and screenshots of your Lightburn screen with your project loaded and screenshot of the rotary window(no phone pics of your screen please)
Are you sure those are the correct settings for your rotary? 163 is an unusual number. Does it make exactly 1 full rotation and back when you press the test button?
Is the right side the beginning or the end of the engraving?
Right side is the beginning
yes, I marked it again, and tested the rotation and it hits the mark on both rotations
how do you determine the setting?
Often the manufacturer provides that info. If not, it’s trial and error. Start by doing the rotation test and adjusting the numbers until it appears correct. Then dial it in by using a straight tumbler and accurate measurements. Draw a 100mm by 5mm rectangle and burn it to a taped tumbler then measure with a flexible measure to check for size. If it measures 100mm, you’re good, if not, adjust the settings and try again. repeat until you get 100mm. Then your steps are set correctly.
As far as why it’s acting like this, I’m not sure. I need to think on it a bit. Maybe someone else will jump in with answers.
I burned it again, will follow with a picture, seems it is better….looks like the laser may have been off center
Still seems to compress a little then stretches
Could it be a spacing setting
I think it looks pretty good. The woodgrain may be causing some optical illusion.
