Rotary not rewinding for second pass

Hello

Using a Rotoboss TalonPro with Haotian CO2 Galvo.

For white tumblers I find it’s best to do 2 passes as sometimes the coating will blister or discolor from the heat. Likely due to not the greatest quality coating.

I have the rotary setup as in the picture. The “Run Shapes In Order” suggests the rotary should rewind and do the second pass. This is not happening it’s doing both passes in each split segment. This is defeating the purpose of trying to reduce heat and run lower power. I’ve tried all three different options in the cut dialogue for how it runs shapes but they all do the same thing.

Anyone know what the solution is to get it to rewind for the second pass, short of manually running the separte passes. I’m not that bright and sometimes forget if I’ve run the second pass or not.

Try Sub Layers rather than 2 passes.

Same result using sublayer, runs both passes in each slice instead of rewinding and running them separate.

Did you run 1 pass per layer. I am pretty sure a sub-layer is supposed to be a separate operation.

Yes, 1 pass per layer using sublayers. Have tried single layer with 2 global passes and 2 in the pass count box. Everything I’ve tried always has it running both passes in each slice. Seems strange.
