Thanks for the reply - and I agree, the original version might have or must have, had a glitch, ex China.
If you read about these Ruida updates … they seem to kill one bug and a bunch more come to the funeral…
The specific oddity here is that reflashing the same firmware as already installed seemed to resolve the issue of being able to flash an older firmware. To me that implies not a firmware issue per se but rather a bad flash issue.
I’m replying here for future reference if others come looking for possible solutions…
Much of the stuff I wrote above about having to plug the green U plug into the Y socket in the controller, I did not have to do after I finally got it all sorted and calibrated.
There are many places to adjust things, and many areas where input figures are irrelevant. I will probably do a fresh post tomorrow on what WORKED, and what not to do, compared with me posting about problems I’d been having earlier.
