I’ve moved my laser to a new work area. I needed to rotate it 90 degrees counter-clockwise, but would like my X to still face me as it was. I previously configured the galvos scale, bulge, etc with 9 point correction tool. Is there an easy way to swap my axes? Currently Galvo 2 is X axis, neither are reversed. Would I just need to swap X to Galvo 1? It looks to me like the settings are tied to the galvos seprately, so I don’t think I’d have to swap the settings too.
X could be moving in two ways so you might run into issues with something being mirrored. Saying that, I believe you are right about the selecting the other axes.
I’ve never done this, so I can’t say how it will work. The machines origin will change from bottom left if you rotate it, this could cause issues.
Simple to try it and see what happens. Let us know.
I believe so, because you can swap axes without changing the lens correction.
I ended up just having to set Galvo1 to X and Negated. My scale was off a bit in X&Y, but a few test cuts and it’s dialed in. I probably didn’t have it quite right before, as a changed my testing method.
