Ruida Not Accepting Pwr/Spd After Manual Set

During a pulse test, I manually set my Omtech 60W to 45% and then to 99% through my Ruida KT332N. Then I uploaded a program from Lightburn and the Ruida excepted the coordinators but not the speed and power; it kept the power from the manual adjusted. Is there something that happens when you manually use the controller that I need to reset? I thought Lightburn kept my controllers settings? Thank you…

When the controller isn’t running a job, the machine’s display shows the manual settings you entered.

When the controller runs a job, the display shows the speed & power settings for the current layer.

Try it and see!

Sorry it took awhile, but thanks a million! Simple answer to what I thought was a simple question. Yes, the manually set power stayed and I saw the layer’s speed and power show up when I started the job. I just wanted to confirm that before I pushed play. I do not know if I ever noticed it in three years of using the machine. I guess I just never paid attention. Thanks again.

The inverse is when you’re using a tool, put it down, and it has vanished when you go to pick it up, even though you know it must be within arm’s reach.

Scary feeling!

Further information, I just ran a job from Lightburn that I made last year and the speed and power level on the Ruida matched the layers. Do you know if something changed in the revisions or maybe I accidentally changed something? If so, what the heck was it?

Perhaps (I’m sure it depends on the specific controller) the display starts up showing the manual settings. They remain until a job runs, after which it shows the settings for the final layer.

But, at this point, it’s a matter of watching what happens.
