Hi All.
Any idea when Lightburn 2.0.XX will be able to communicate with the New Ruida RDC8445S controller?
Wonder if the 8445S communications are encrypted…?
That would make it more difficult.

I would also like to know about the 8445s and if anyone has it working in lightburn 2.0
AI returned this, not sure what it means.
Yes, the Ruida RDC8445S controller can be encrypted, and it requires a password to unlock certain features. If encryption is enabled, the controller will not operate until it is unlocked with the correct password.
One document says it’s got 1G of memory (compared to 128mB) but others say it’s got 8G of memory…

I have it connected via usb to lightburn
Sounds like you have an Ethernet issue. You’re the first I’ve come across that had a bad port or issue with the network, although it shouldn’t be too surprising.
Let us know how it works.

it has 1gb of onboard memory, I Have tested storage size, and only working on usb atm with lightburn
Have you actually tried it via Ethernet or it doesn’t work via Ethernet?
I would think if it worked with usb it would work with Ethernet.
Wouldn’t be the first surprise from Ruida.

It’s not a ethernet/wifi issue. Even RDworks will not connect via ethernet/wifi, Only USB. I didn’t get my 8445s to connect via USB with lightburn. The dev’s are working on it though. Looking forward to the 1gb of memory in the device as I’ve hit the wall with grayscale engraving a couple of times.
