Ruida RDC6445G(EC) firmware Update due to Rotary

Hi all,

I’ve searched the forum and found out that RDC6445G has some issues with Rotary due to not reading properly the steps per rotation. I currently have the Firmware RDC-V15.01.27. No matter what I input on steps per rotation, it always does around 4 spins.

My question is, if I try to upgrade the firmware to the latest RDC-V15-01.30 does the machine settings change? just in case machine screws up from firmware update. I’ve searched, but I haven’t seen anyone addressing this concern.

Have you reached out to your laser manufacturer for their input?

I wonder if you need to power cycle your Ruida when making rotary changes?

I did but unsuccessful, I just saw plenty of people who updated theirs hopefully someone could have the answer to this.
