I’ve been cutting several batches of an item without any problem. Then out of nowhere the machine stops half way through and returns to the origin and the Ruida control panel says hard limit protect. I ran this cut multiple times already and haven’t changed anything. I even hit “track” and it runs the perimeter of the cut area just fine. Thank you for any help.
Likely, one of your limit switches is faulty (or wiring to one of the switches is shorting). That message indicates a closure on that circuit monitoring limit switches. Could be either one of the homing switches or possibly either of the limit switches on Z if you have those.
On the Ruida controller you can check and see if any limit switches or protection switches are activated.
Press Z/U, then navigate to “Diagnosis” and you’ll see the list.
