S9 Laser will not Fire

Been trying to learn to draw on my Lightburn and now getting there.
However my laser did work while testing, been watching too many videos on setting up.
My laser moves to the programme but no longer fires to cut.
I am sure I have altered something I should have.
Window I can set to default, but how do I return everything else to factory settings.
Or any other ideas, I am a newbie and laser has done about 2 hours work it has been fine.
Any ideas suggestions are welcome before I go mad.

Does the laser come on when you click the fire button in laser window, or when you frame?

If so you can try File> preferences> load prefs backup and pick an earlier setting.

If you have no fire button then you will have to enable it in device settings.

If you have no output when clicking fire button then start wiggling wires and check connections.

Hi
Hi Tried all that, but no fire button does not work or framing with laser at 20%
Its like its not attached but it is, all connections are good.
It is something I have altered, I am sure, but I just can not see it.

@Dskall said to wiggle wires and check connections. This includes checking all plugs on both ends for the laser module and power supply. You have a mechanical issue IF you have not been messing with the controller parameters.

Can you go into console window and type in $$ then copy and paste the out put?

Checked all the cables etc all plugs.
I don’t think I have touched the controller, being a novice I tend to only touch variable settings for the lightburn itself and the only thing I remember is on one of the settings I had
the option to READ FROM CONTROLLER which I did as I have learned this is the best option.
You mean this.

$31=1000, this should =0. You can type in console and enter $31=0

Also in device settings s-value should be 1000

When powered up you clicked on the fire button and then wiggled wires down to controller?

You could also download lasergrbl and see if it works with that to help figure out if it’s laser problem or software problem.

Hey chaps and any chapesses, thank you for all your help.I had made the error of updating the firmware and not reinputting the bed at 400 x 900 for the larger y side rails i had put on. Also I dismantled the laser unit to inspect the PCB and underneath their was some furring on the back of the plug pins, now whether this caused shorting I do not know. I have spent so long on this I have less hair and more frustrated, however all help was valuable and for any other newbies I suggest that go back to basics and check the obvious. A bit like when your car stops, don’t check the engine first check the fuel tank for fuel, anyway up and running, so thank you all. I have put another post on for some simple advice on drawing in Lightburn.
