Saved Art Library Project settings being altered

Hi

I am currently using Vers. 2.0.04.

I thought this issue was me and it may still be, but it only appears to have started possibly two updates ago and is only happening to the most recent files, older files load fine.

What is occurring is when I add a saved graphic/project from my Art Library the image loads with a setting of 6000 mm/m and a power of 20, this only happens to the image all other settings remain the same.
Even thought the correct settings were saved as I also save the settings in the notes and have them open with the file as a memory jog.

If I open the same file from it’s directory this issue does not occur.

Is it normal for the Art Library to alter saved settings or is this a recent glitch that has snuck in?.

P.S.
I have looked in all the settings boxes and cannot find 6000 speed and 20 power anywhere.

Thanks in advance.

The 6,000 @ 20% is Lightburn default setting.

Art Library items do NOT store settings with them. Think about it, this is for storing design items, there is no way of differentiating what substrate you want to put the art onto. The settings for Birch Plywood will be different than the settings for Pine or Slate. It loads the art only onto your workspace and you need to decide what settings are best for the substrate you’re using.

The way to save settings is by using the Material Library.

If you wish to store settings with a partiular design, you need to save it as a Lightburn project file.

That maybe the case, but as stated other saved projects containing images and cut settings actually load with the original settings intact, it is only the latest saved items that are defaulting to this unusual speed and power.
And the older saved projects load correctly and the saved notes that open mirror those original settings in the cut/layers.?

Did you check the settings before you saved the new project file?

That is correct. That is a project file. Project files contain the settings as well as any art.

Art library files do not contain settings, only the art. Loading an art library item is like importing a .svg or other graphic. They will take on the current settings of the layer you are working with. If you haven’t loaded anything else onto that layer, loading a library item will take on the default settings, just like importing any other graphic. This is what you’re seeing.

Yes I checked the settings before saving, and nowhere in my settings do I have 6000 and 20.

That’s why it is a little confusing, I can only assume that something in the new updates has inadvertently changed some internal feature.

Same as every time I open up a feature that ‘STUPID’ Macro window also opens up on my screen even though it is not checked.

Check to see in your LightBurn settings–> Editor Settings, that you don’t have “load default layer settings on new or restart” enabled.

I have neither of these issues so it likely is a settings thing.
