I have the Sculpfun S30 Ultra with the 600x600 frame. I purchased the Sculpfun CAM500 which only can see 400x400 effectively. Therefore, I had to mount the camera on the front of the frame as opposed to the back. This is resulting in the image of the camera being inverted and I can’t find a way within lightburn to reverse the image. It may not be possible. My devise settings has the origin is set to front left which should be correct. Has anyone run into this and is there a cure within Lightburn or am I forced to suffer the punishment of a poorly researched purchase?
When I installed the extension kit on my Longer Ray5, it went from 400x400 to 400x850.
My camera, which was at 454mm, had to be moved vertically to 890mm before I could see both ends of the work area. That solved my problem. However, I don’t have an enclosure to worry about. When I first installed the camera, it was inverted. I simply rotated it 180 degrees.
May not be a choice for you.
All the best
During the Camera Alignment process you are asked to identify target centers by number order. If you do this correctly LightBurn will reorient the image accordingly. The live image feed will never be right side up but the overlay will be corrected for.
Thank you both for your quick response. I discovered, albeit accidentally, how to fix the inversion. While trying to locate the center mark i created, the instructions were telling me to turn on the cross hair in the “system camera” setting, the light came on that this was a setting in the computer and not in the Lightburn software itself. I found the manage Cam500 in my laptop and to my happy surprise, you can invert the image 180 degrees.
At this point I was able to complete the camera calibration with orientation corrected so my brain could understand what i was doing and it works perfectly.
Again, thanks for your trouble. It helped me to continue and finally find a solution.
