When I downloaded the newest version Al my material settings that were saved under the previous version not longer work the same in v2.1.00. Is one else having this issue? Under the move tab in the previous version I had to keep setting it to 3000 to get steady movement. But it’s slow compared to the v2.1.00 which I have it set at 400 and it’s way faster then the 3000 under previous version. All my material setting were preloaded with I bought the laser from roly. Now those settings no longer work with this version.
In the Release Notes and also the What’s New posting, you will read that the design imperial/metric settings were separated from the machine control settings. There is a new pull-down for selecting mm/s, mm/m, etc., and a switch to allow unlinking them so you can use imperial in one and metric in the other.
It sounds like your units got changed from mm/min to inches/min. You can change that back in the device settings. The material settings aren’t changed, they’re just being displayed in the different units.
1 inch is 25.4 mm, so a setting like “3000 mm/min” would be shown as “118.1 inches/min”.
That is possible. I will look to see if they have been changed. Thank you I will get back to you on that. But that does make sense though and never though of that.
