Settings not saving across machines

I am using a co2 omtech laser with my fiber laser. When I switch between the 2 machines the orientation of my project has to be adjusted in machine settings each time. If I create a project on my co2 and open it on my fiber laser in lightburn the orientation and other settings are all messed up. How do I fix this??

You don’t because the machine origin is different between those machines. The graphics are oriented to the machine origin and that is not something you can change. You just have to select all and rotate or mirror the graphics as needed.

It would be nice if that could be corrected in the program. I also noticed on the latest update all origins had to be reset

The machine origin is set by the manufacturer of your machine. There is no way for Lightburn to change that. All graphics are designed relative to the machine origin. No way to change that either.

Best thing to do is load a preferences file from before the update. That should restore everything.
FileMenu> Preferences> Load Prefs Backup

Thank you so much

I know this was discussed and Lightburn corrected it so it works correctly in all the current versions.

I’d suggest you create a device for each laser using the proper configuration file for each laser.

They clearly have different configurations, either in Lightburn or the laser itself.
