Sharing files between computers

My ‘big’ computer died so I have been designing on a laptop. I have my computer back and want to use those files on the big computer. I’m not that tech savvy - how do I get those files to another computer? Thx much.

The easiest way is probably to use a USB storage device (thumb drive). Insert thumb drive into source computer. Move or copy desired files to thumb drive. Insert thumb drive into destination computer. Move or copy desired files to destination. Done.

Depending on file sizes, you could also email them to yourself. Create the email on the laptop and attach some or all the files. Open that same email on the “big” computer and save the attached files.

I do this almost daily at work to move pictures from my phone to my workstation because we can’t use USB storage or WiFi or any of the other newer tech for security reasons.

I use a OneDrive share (Dropbox will do as well) to store the project files. They get synchronized automatically, which is really convenient.

Thanks so much guys. I’m pretty new at this game and had my files stored “within” lightburn as I thought that’s what I should have been doing. Now I know, I’ll set up some smarter storage. Loving Lightburn so far. Thx again.

Files don’t store “within” Lightburn. They store to a drive location that you choose when you click “Save”. Open Lightburn, click Save, and note the location of the files in the dialogue box that appears. That is where your files are.
