Skewing Hard To The Left

Ok guys I am at a total loss, everthing was working fine until a couple days ago. Mecpow X4 Pro 40 Started with photos only, now doing it on everything I run. I will attach photos, the dog photo was the last thing that went right. So far I have tried backing up versions all the way to 2.0.0.3 and now back on 5, I have run my preferences back to 11/30, I have checked the belt tension, and one felt off so I tightened it, I have calibrated and re assigned my machine with “Find My Laser” at least 3 times. I have read through everything I can find that references anything similar to my problem on here, and haven’t found anything that looks like mine, but still tried modifying some of the settings a few spoke of…forgive me if I didn’t look deep enough. I have contacted Mecpow even though I feel it is not a hardware issue. If there is something out there that I missed I am sorry, I looked until it started transitioning into other issues. Someone out there has had to have seen this.

This sort of issue is almost always hardware-related. If it does not appear skewed in the Preview window, then I would again skew the error towards being hardware.

Check that your belts do not bind in specific parts of travel (with the laser off, moving the carriage slowly). Check for jammed/failed motion hardware like pulley wheels or carriage wheels.

I’ll look at those again the machine is only a couple weeks old, but when I did the belts I didn’t notice any binds or snags and everything was smooth.

Make sure all couplers, drive pulley set screws are tight, laser module is not loose.

I’m just gonna return this thing, not even 2 weeks old I shouldn’t be having to repair it or have it repaired. Even so their tech support is pretty much nonexistent. Just really Frustrating

Loose set screws and things are pretty common on new machines and once bugs are worked out they are pretty reliable.

I get that, but as lost as a frog in the ocean and have absolutely no idea where to start looking, be different if I knew someone who could help me diagnose or if they had a service center

We are here to help and have given you some advice.

And it’s greatly appreciated, I can’t say how much…I’ll look again tomorrow with fresh eyes, I just need more in my noggin lol, thanks to everyone, I didn’t mean to come off unappreciative.

Thank you guys so much! Especially DsKall you were right, I went back to the machine this morning with fresh eyes and sure enough, I found a missing set screw in the pully on the drive motor for the X Axis. Found one and replaced it, tested with Lightburn and 100% worked correctly. I cannot thank all of you guys enough for the help.
