Snapmaker ray. Waiting for connection & odd code/symbols in console

Hi all

I read a post from snapmaker user concerning a coords issue that had the same symptoms as my machine is experiencing.
The solution appeared to be solved by downloading version 1.6.8 (I have been using 1.7.4).
I tried this suggestion but the outcome was the same so I undid the changes.

I must have done something wrong along the way because the LB console window shows 'Waiting for connection" even when procedures have all been carried out as usual and machine usually connects no problem.

The Console is showing:-

I did have a situation when a few days ago, while inputting some commands sent from snapmaker, I coppied three commands into the console instead of one at a time. This lead to a constant readout lines that included DBG and System time with ++++ symbols.
It didnt seem to interrupt normal procedure of engrave or cut…so I let it be while I was dealing with snapmaker.

Im not sure those strange symbols are reocurring like the DBG system time+++, lines but I just cleared the console to see if they are reoccuring and I see I have a stream of ‘GO’ all the way don the console window.

Also the machine has been doing a lot more BEEPing than usual and while no actions were taking place. Ive checked cables etc and all is as was.

Any ideas what I dealing with?

Ps Just realised my machine type is no longer showing at lower right.

What is your baud rate set at?

Strange symbols in the Console is typically a baud rate mismatch, as @Dskall noted. The SM Ray is 115,200 if I remember correctly.

It was set at 460800 but I didnt think to check before shutting down.

Situation Normal..That does not mean “As should be” but I’ll take what I can get at this stage.
Did not have (grbl snapmaker Ray lbdev) selected and baud rate was set well below 26800.
