Software Alert in Console Window

Just fired up the software this morning to start work and getting this message in the console window:

Homing fail. Could not find limit switch within search distance. Defined as 1.5 * max_travel on search and 5 * pulloff on locate phases.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

For Ortur machines this is most commonly one of these:

  • You plugged in the USB, so the board is powered, but didn’t power it up, so the motors aren’t active
  • The power supply isn’t connected, or is faulty
  • One of the wires to the limit switches are connected wrong

If the machine is actually moving, then it’s likely the third. If it’s not moving, it’s most likely the first two.
