I just started using Lightburn and I can’t get my homing set correctly. It travels to home correctly but home coordinates show the opposite corner (x400 y430). Everytime I try to start a project I get an alarm 2 as it thinks that it’s in the far corner. How can I correct this issue?
That’s very atypical for your laser.
Can you provide the following:
- full screenshot LightBurn with Laser window showing?
- Run these commands in Console and return output:
$H
$I
$$
$#
?
Note that the first command will home the laser so be prepared for it.
Can you copy and paste all the output generated by those commands into a reply here please?

Let me know if that is enough data
Have you made changes to your Machine Settings and if so, were these deliberate?
I can see what’s causing the issue and that you likely have some changes here. But I want to make sure there was no purpose for this before proceeding.
You’re actually missing a considerable amount of the output. Can you grab everything from the first command forward? You should enter the commands one at a time.

Sorry about that. No I did not deliberately make any changes to anything. Still new to the machine and software.
Odd. I’m wondering if the machine was used before you getting it.
Let’s do this. Let’s reset the laser as that operation is safe for Ortur lasers.
Run this in Console:
$RST=*
Post that, power cycle your laser, test your coordinates after homing. They should be 0,0.
Once you confirm that things are working I suggest you update your firmware as yours is quite old.

$RST=*

Grbl 1.1f [‘$’ for help]
That’s what you’d expect to see. Were you able to check coordinates?
