I purchased a Boss Laser and a Lightburn license was included. I’ve been using the software for a while and quite pleased with it so I decided to take the upgrade that was offered each time the software was opened. In doing so I was asked for my license key which I thought I could find under Help/License management. What was there was a message saying I had “13 days of updates remaining in license” and no Key visible, just a “License Valid” statement.
The questions I have are, what is the meaning of the 13 days and where can I find my license key.
You have 13 days left in your 1 year subscription. After 13 more days you can no longer update LightBurn. It will still work, it just won’t get any new and amazing updates. You can add on another year for a very reasonable $30.
You should have the original materials provided from Boss, including the Key. You can also get the key when visiting the License Management Portal, it is displayed there and will allow you to change the allocation of seats.
Purchase a renewal for an additional 365 days of access to the most recent releases.
Thanks for all the help. I think I understand now, BUT! Both the activation options are greyed out (see attachment) and I no longer get the prompt to activate when I open the program.
You do not need to email support, you are talking to us now, here.
For your issue, I see you are using an active and current license (for the next 13 days). You can purchase a license renewal, which will add an additional 365 days of updates and fixes. To do that, visit this link, once you have gone to the portal to get your key.
Thank you for the assist, @micrololin. I have tools that allow me to look up the license by email. Same tools we use when emailing us. In most cases, yes, this is the correct approach for a user to get their name and email associated to their contact information.
Yet in this case, I was able to confirm this user has access already.
