Speed setting default is now 6000 after upgrade

I recently upgraded my Lightburn license.

Before the update when cutting the default settings were Speed 100, max and min power 10, which I would change to 10,30,30 for 3mm MDF - worked perfectly.

Now my defaults are Speed 6000, max 20, min 20. When I input the figures to my usual settings 10,30,30, the laser will move to position and fire repeatedly without moving.

I’ve reinstalled, set new figures to default and the laser will fire without moving.

Check the units; 100mm/sec is 6000 mm/min. if you changed that number to 100, with the speed units set to mm/min, you’d be moving at 1.66 mm/sec!

The general operation of a controller, which has speed limits already set, will usually limit your maximum speed there. Even if you enter something way too fast, the controller should correct it to within it’s limits.

In your case, I’d expect it to attempt to run at it’s set full speed. I wouldn’t expect it to act as you describe..

Although, nobody can argue if it ends with success…

Have fun.
