Speed setting for move needs to be set every time again

I’ll confirm (next weekend). I do use “jog” a lot in continuous mode, but I always make adjustments with continuous mode turned off. Honestly, it’s quite a coincidence in my case; whenever I turn off the machine, continuous mode is active. But I’ll test it.

Good Catch!
I never had continuous jog enabled.

On MacOS and RC-11 I also can’t trigger the error of not remembering the values and on the Windows OS version I still need feedback from my friend in Australia, I can’t check it myself because I’m still on an RV holiday trip through Europe.
(maybe I should take a Windows PC on the trip next year  )

It was a bit easy thanks to the files provided by @MikeyH and @fle.
After analyzing their files checked the differences and tested the obvious.

I couldn’t resist the curiosity and came to try it. I confirm. Disabling “continuous jog” solves the issue.
What surprises me is that I’ve never turned off the software with the option disabled.

Someone pay for this man’s vacation!

Thanks anyway.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any vacation planned.
I have a lot on my plate and very little time.
On top of that, I might need shoulder surgery if physical therapy doesn’t fix it.

Many thanks for spending your time into this issue. Do I understand it right, that it is only necessary to deactivating continuous jog before exiting the program ?

In any case, I wish you enough time for all on your desk, and all the best with your shoulder.

Since @parsec has a broken shoulder, it should be safe for me to intervene in a question directed at him.
Please, look at this gesture as a way to avoid moving your shoulder to answer. :innocent:

Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

@fle
I did it this way:
I initialized LB, ran the “Home” process (I don’t have my machine configured to do this on startup because sometimes there are forgotten objects in the laser machine bed and suddenly it seems like the end of the world :innocent:).

In the “Move” window, I unchecked the “Continuous Jog” option, entered a distance and speed in the respective fields, and performed two movement operations.

I turned off and restarted LB, and the previous settings regarding distance and speed remained.

The “0” no longer appears as it did before with “Continuous Jog” selected when shut off LB.

Thank you all.
I must clarify that I don´t get this behavior with my current User/System, I just added your devices and everything is fine.
I had to create a new user account to install a fresh copy of LightBurn to investigate. So something else is in play with your prefs/devices. I only found the issue and provided a workaround.
