SSL version number may help Linux users

Searching the forum I can see their are multiple issues when it comes to selecting ‘Check for Updates’ in Linux, and that you can’t spend the time creating different versions for different distros, which is completely understandable.

But could you just create a pop-up that says what version of SSL is required? Also display what other library versions / files are required to run an update. Then Linux users can go and find/compile those versions to fix the issue our selves.

Linux users are pretty savvy. Just point us in the right direction and we can do the rest.

Try to manually install libssl 1.0

Search the forum for “libssl” and the top 5 results will get you all the leisure reading you want on the subject matter of Linux compatibility
