When using a roughing bit like the IDC Woodcraft Hog or Beast, I would like to run a high stepover. the Millmage Software only allows 50%.
I run an 80% stepover with these bits in Vectric. That is the settings right out of the IDC Woodcraft Database.
Due to some technical issues Iām not going to dig into now step-overs more that 50% left some undesirable results in MillMage. Until we have those resolved stepover is limited to 50%.
We will unlock that when we are able, but no timeline currently.
I thought normally never step over more than 30-40% or bit diameter?
