My X stepper motor has stopped moving when running a program, it used to be ok.
If I swap cables it does work so I think it is something within Lightburn.
If you swapped the cable from the y stepper to x stepper and it worked fine I’d be more inclined to believe you have a bad cable.
sounds like bad cable or driver
By ‘it’, do you mean both motors are working or just the X stepper motor?
If the y stepper motor is also working with swapped cables you may have an intermittent fault in a cable. It’s a very difficult thing to diagnose.
Symptoms caused by loose cables or loose cable crimps may also disappear and reappear randomly.
Tried swapping cables board end with good cable and still does not work.
Can you explain accurately in detail what you’ve tried to resolve? I don’t understand what you’re saying works or does not work with seemingly contradicting statements.
I wouldn’t rule out the controller card outputs either. The last time I fought this on a cnc router the channel was burned on my breakout card.
