TEST 1.4.lbrn2 (130.2 KB)
FILE 1.6.03.lbrn2 (139.0 KB)
I am just wanting to update my Lightburn to the newer edition. I have been using the same Thunderlaser Nova 63 130W machine for over 2 years now. Haven’t moved a thing, same PC and same Machine. Like I said I was good on the updates until they went past 1.4.x and then that’s when I noticed all my files have changed.
Look at the number 1 on the 3 pointed dial from 1.4 to the 1.7. It has physically moved
Sorry I can’t reproduce the error. I picked up an old 1.4.0 lb version and started your 1.4 lbnr2 file, closed 1.4 down and start RC-3 1.7, picked up the saved file from 1.4, but everything is fine here with me.
You can try starting the saved file and see if it looks normal.

Just opened your 1.4 file with 1.7.00 an did a save test it please.
TEST 1.7.00.lbrn2 (158.7 KB)
With your 1.6.03 numbers aren’t aligned.
This is because of a bug introduced in between a couple of versions with letter spacing. These files have the HSpace set non-zero, and if you produced a file in between 1.4 and 1.5 with non-zero HSpace it will misalign slightly, and there’s not much I can do to fix it, unfortunately.
The alignment will only be off horizontally, and once you fix it, they’ll stay fixed.
I appreciate the answer. Running a huge Etsy store that uses hundreds and hundreds of files, and also working a full time job, I’m afraid I just will not have the time to go through all the files to correct the mistakes. So unfortunately I assume my updating Lightburn has come to an end after all these years (and I just paid for my license renewal 2 days ago to try 1.7). Looks like I am stuck somewhere in 1.4.x. If there is any other solution you may have please let me know.
Thanks to all who helped.
I reopened the file in 1.7 that you saved and it looks great! Unfortunately I have too many files to correct. Thanks for the help
When will the full regular release for 1.7 be available?
About a week after the last significant bugfix / report.
I did nothing just open-save.
Do you mind testing the following blind-shot:
- Install 1.7
- Create a new laser device by importing this GRBL-M3_to_M4.lbdev (16.0 KB).
- Select GRBL-M3_to_M4 device and open your TEST 1.4.lbrn2 (130.2 KB)
- Check if everything is fine.
- Come back with your findings.
