....Still trying to cherrypick the fonts LightBurn displays

Back in 2020, I created a post seeking info how to have LightBurn display only the fonts I wanted it to display. Several people tried to help, but it was to no avail, and the system fonts in my fonts list could not be removed from LightBurn. It’s been about 4 years since then, so I’m hoping maybe something has changed within LightBurn itself that will allow me to accomplish this. Here is a pic of something I found on Google, but of course it is not working with LightBurn. I am currently at version 1.4.05, will the most up to date version possibly make a difference? Thanks!

It is working. Right-click on the font that is displayed at the moment and you can hide it or add to favorites. Which one makes more sense depends on if you want to hide or show more fonts.

That’s very interesting, but it is not working that way for me. I googled it some more, and it says there that on versions pre-dating 1.6, it can be done in the file settings menu, but I still can’t get it to work that way.

I checked the laptop in the shop, and it is the same way. I’m going to assume if I want this to work, then I’m going to have to update to the current version, so I’m going to try that next, because I want this pretty bad.

So I am now at current version 1.7.07, and I do have a couple of new settings in my right click menu, but still not the ‘system font’ one that you have. I feel like that is the one I need. Can you tell me which version of Lightburn you are running? Or maybe you have some ideas as to why this isn’t happening? Thanks!

Thank you for trying to help, but…

You need to right-click over a selected font (without expanding the dropdown menu), then you’ll see the menu where you can choose to Favorite it or Hide it.

Looking at your screenshot, you have found that menu. Now you just need to select the option you want. Hiding all the fonts you don’t want to see will probably take longer than just favoriting the ones you do want to see. They’ll appear at the top of the list.

That’s all well and good, but what I am looking for is the two options that say ‘show system fonts’ and ‘show shx fonts’. My dropdown menu does not have them, and I specifically need the one about system fonts. Do you have any idea why I do not have it available? It’s not like it is greyed out and unclickable, it just isn’t there at all.

You need to set an SHX file path to be able to select to show System Fonts or SHX fonts. Otherwise, System Fonts will always show (if they didn’t you’d have no fonts).

You can set that path in the settings window:

THANK YOU! That was driving me totally crazy. It works as expected now. My appreciation!
