Stopping job in Marlin

Hi,

I just added a laser to my Sovol SV01 3D-printer running Marlin 2.5.3.
It works fine, but I noticed that if I start an engraving job and I use the printer’s interface to “Stop Printing”, nothing happens.

Is this expected behaviour (since the printer doesn’t realize it’s a laser cutter now) or is this some kind of issue with either the G-code or the Marlin firmware?

I suspect the ‘Stop Printing’ function is only from jobs coming from the SD card, not those being streamed live.

Thanks! I didn’t mention, but I was printing from SD rather than through USB.

I have no idea then - I’m not very familiar with Marlin.
