Strange toolpath

Hi All, I want to burn attached file, I created the middle shape by copying the right shape twice, flipping one vertically, aligning V and H centres and intersecting them using the boolean assistant. Looks good but the preview shows a strange toolpath with a lot of dots along the way.
What did I do wrong?

Try turning off “Traverse Moves” and see if that helps. It is just showing you the path the laser will take during the cut. Also looks like your design has an issue. Missing the center piece and the right piece is not complete. Check your Cut settings. Attach your file and im sure someone will look at it

Thank you for your comment.
Removing traversal moves does not solve the problem but highlights it, see the dots lightburn wants to burn along the way.
You might have to enlarge the screenshot in order to be able to see the dots. Screenshot is from a paused preview, if continued it will draw the middle part as well.

I attached the file.

If you ungroup your center object you will notice there are some random dots there

These dots are causing the . dots you seeing but canceling the outer shape

Ungroup → Move the center away > select all dots with a wide lasso selection
Delete

Then move the center object back

I opened your file in my version of Lightburn and i dont see the dots.
Maybe a display issue on your computer. I’m running an older version of Lightburn. 1.4 Wonder if this could be a bug in the S/W

The gentlemen posting above is correct. There are a bunch of very very tiny dots in with the design of the center piece. Not sure why they dont show up when i load the file into my lightburn. He is correct. Ungroup the center piece then move it out of the way. Then expand your screen and you will see them. Select and delete them. Weird

Great you provided a cure to delete the surplus points, but strange why they were created in the first place.

I only used copy, mirror, align H, align V and boolean intersect, while snapping. So all native Lightburn features.

anyway, problem solved. Cut time reduced from 3:43 to 3:32 but most important no redundant moves and pinpoint holes.

Thanks again!

This might have to do the way that boxes website, does the corners

Its a known issue
