Struggling with connection and movement issues

Having a couple of strange issues.

Using Windows, Marlin on a BigTreeTech SKR min E3 V3, MPCNC, LaserTree 80W-AA-PRO-KIT-24V.

First, I can not connect with Light Burn unless I first connect with Repatier-Host. If I use Host First, connect, and disconnect, then light burn with connect just fine. Seems like a strange order to do things but it does work.

Second, Position issues. During a print, it will suddenly offset the print. See picture attached.

Third, during a print, it will sometimes stall out and freeze. Hard locks out and needs to be reset.

Fourth, when doing a materials test, it only varies the power but not the speed… See picture attached.

Not sure if these are different problems with different solutions, or one small setting I f’ed up.

We had a very long discussion on that some time ago. It seems somthing is buggy with the serial interface because in other cases, you need to connect using LaserGRBL (which always works) before LB can connect. The first thing you can try here is to toggle the “enable DTR signal” option in device settings. This usually does the trick.

The offset is usually caused by a mechanical issue, this is most likely not software / project related. Check here: Guide to mechanical adjustments and maintenance

Thanks for the info! Ill look at little closer at the mechanical end of things. Any ideas why the speed is not varying?
