Text and image is separating when lasering. It’s almost as if the laser is not firing in the correct spot whenever it changes direction. Bi-directional scanning is on, and Over-Scan is at 2.5%. I have even tried changing the scan angle and it still separated, but I did discover that the separation is parallel to the scan angle. I have already looked at that mechanical side of things like syncing both sides of the Y-axis and checking tension and everything is looking good. I have also tested with the proprietary software at the same parameters (minus the over-scan because it is not supported) and I am not getting this issue, leading me to a LB software issue. Machine is xTool D1 with the extension kit, using both 10W visible and 2W Infrared.
If there is not any play in your X axis do this.
Did you create your Lightburn laser device by importing xTool_D1.lbdev
xTool_D1.lbdev (3.2 KB)
then adjust your working size on Lightburn per your extension size.
Tim,
I see the starting parameters were certainly high. Adjusting this was just the ticket! Thank you for your help. -TJ
