The Laser Is Burning The Wood At The Start Of A Line

I’ve been working on a project for my job and these little houses have been coming out really nice but one of the things the customer has noted is that even after sanding and oiling they can still slightly see where the wood was scorched at the beginning of each window or door. I was wondering if this is a problem with my speed or power or my laser in general, or if this is another problem within lightburns settings im unaware of. Any insight and/or tips would be helpful. I’m about to be doing around 10000 of these things and I wanna make it as quick and streamlined as possible. Thank you for any help

I think it’s pretty common for a lot of soot and smoke to blow back up out of the hole and deposit crap on the area surrounding the initial pierce.

Maybe a lead-in to put the scorch mark on the piece that falls out?
