The RD files output from the Lightburn system are not recognized by the Ruida controller

I have a Calca X700 laser with a Ruida Controller Model RD6445G.

Running Lightburn on a Mac with Catalina. Two files in the Mac computer and both were generated by Lightburn. (Padcut10.lbrn2 Padcut10.rd) I saved the file with “Save RD files” button directed to a folder.
Drag and drop the saved RD file to a USB stick. There is only one file on the USB stick.
I go to laser and insert the stick into the “USB-disk” socket. Turn on the laser machine and press the “file” button and the machine shows machine memory. Scroll through to access “udisk”. Then select “read u-disk”. The machine returns “No files found”.
What am I doing wrong?

Can you see the single .rd file on the U-Disk with your Mac?

I haven’t done a lot of sneakernet work with these, so it’s been a long while…

I do know that in the absence of the u-disk or a failed connection, it will tell you there are no files found… not the failure to find the u-disk…

If the files exist on the U-disk, I’d suspect you are not getting a good connection between the stick (u-disk) and the controller… there is a jumper from the controller to the cabinet… unfortunately it’s not a typical usb you’d expect on the controller end… it’s a USB2.0 type B

If you have any files on the Ruida, try writing it from your controller to the u-disk.

That would tell you if it was a connection problem or not…
