Is this out already and if it is how can I upgrade the lightburn software

The updated cut planner has not yet been released but will be in the next release.

The best way to check for an updated version of LightBurn is to check in the Help menu within LightBurn:

You could also compare the version numbers from the title bar of the application in Windows and Linux against the latest version on the LightBurn downloads page.
