Haven’t been on site for about three months it seems. Several visits to ER and hospital.
I have numerous problems relating to heart. Looking forward to implant of pacemaker into upper and lower sections of my heart to regulate heart rate etc.
Suffering from shortness of breath. Wife is having to do many things I have always done. Don’t even have all my flowers planted for the summer. May have to throw them into trash.
Haven’t turned the laser on for quite awhile. Have many things I want to experiment with. Unfortunately most will have to wait and see how this new venture works out.
I miss you too, hope you get better with a paesemaker in the future.
Stay informed here in the forum, it helped me a lot while I was sick and you don’t lose the thread of the LightBurn development.

Health problems, something I consider myself lucky to have.
So much so that I often say, “When my turn comes, all the problems will come at once.”
I won’t say I’ll spare you what I have left, because besides being impossible, it’s something we always need.
But I sincerely wish you a speedy recovery. A person with health difficulties doesn’t need to become brand new again; they need enough to live with dignity.

I’m on my 3rd one, the battery lasts about 8 years, then they put in a new pacemaker. Mine is 3-lead, 2-lead upper, and 1-lead lower. The surgery is a piece of cake, probably at most maybe an hour.
I’m 86, and my wife passed away 8 years ago, so I have to take care of myself.
I don’t know what I’d do without the spousal support. I got a AI+CD (Automatic Internal Cardiac Defibrillator) implanted around the turn of the century. I’m on my third. They put a pacemaker in my wife and only used a single wire. That resulted in damage to the valve on the other side. She had to go in and have it replaced with an AICD so both sides of the heart reacted.
I got sepsis a few years back and had to have the defibrillator and wiring removed until I got rid of the infection. I was stuck with an external defibrillator, that I really hated as it can’t pace you. I think they are just putting in AICD devices instead of pace only types.
Generally mine worked about 10 years on a battery. When they read it’s information, it will usually tell you what you have left in battery power.

I was sorry to hear about your heart issues. My family has a genetic heart condition requiring we have implanted defibrillators. I got my first in 2006, but my daughter outdid me and my father. She got her first pacemaker at the age of 16yrs and still in high school. After discovering we all carry the gene for our heart condition she now has a defibrillator as well.
