Too small areas assigning to a different tool

Hey all… Newbie question on Millmage. When I assign a pocket operation to my project there are some areas that are too small for the bit that I’m using to gouge the majority. What is the best way to select the areas that are too small and pocket them with a different tool? Is there a way to auto select them or do you have to do it one at a time?

Thanks

Dean

Select the whole thing and use a Rest Pocket operation.

If you tell it what the diameter of the larger tool was, it will only use the smaller tool on the “Rest” of the area it couldn’t reach (including tight corners).

What oz said but Sometimes due to the shape even say a 1.5mm bit won’t work as a rest pocket especially on graphics just dosent give the detail required

What I do is select one small part of design, edit select shapes smaller. change their layer colour and than add new profile operation, I generally try all 3 options , on , in out and preview each

depending on depth a v 20 deg bit can work nicely
