Really enjoying the new tool layers [when I mouse over T1 it sez T00 btw- T2 reads T2] this makes my workaround for setting a ‘Point’ as in RDworks easier. Any updates on when we might see multi windows in the program… drinks are on me when that happens [and covid finally ends]. Thanks Gene
May I ask what you want to use multi windows functionality for? Run 2 lasers simultaneously or to be able to work with a different design while the machine is running a different workpiece or something completely different?
I also like T1 and T2 a lot and use them often.
We are a sign shop so most of our work is one-off pieces and there are four people using the machine on and off. Also we are used to graphics programs where you can have several windows open at a time- it can be more efficient as we work on many jobs in different stages of completion. And I encourage the young [lady] designers to make things for their friends and them selves- it is good for morale. And I am a maker/experimenter and try new things every day. Old age is good if you are lucky. Gene
Many thanks for the reply. I can well see that you have a different workflow as I have. Since I only make relatively few products for sale and I also do not have to make a living from my hobby, I can settle for 2 computers with LightBurn. One, a really old machine I use to control my laser with and the other I develop and design with. It works quite well for me and I can keep the machines separate which is very important to me.
And by the way, age is no obstacle
Bernd
I am often using several windows for copy&paste or to check the layer settings of another drawing. The windows versions still allows it.
Thanks for the answer, now I understand it better and think it is a plausible reason for your wish.
