Transferring a file via email or USB

Hi everyone , please excuse me but this is my first time in the group.

I design 90% of my projects on my Mac and the I transfer that file via email or USB but when I open it on my laptop its all reversed or misplaced , both machines are up-to date.

Have any of you had this and found out why it does it ??

Hi, at first would be great to tell us:
1/ the file type (lbrn, dxf or whatever else?)
2/ second the operating system of your laptop

Maybe there could be a problem that UNIX systems use just LF at the end of the line, but MS Win uses CR LF instead?

Can you attach some source file?

I think your machine setup on the two machines is different. Check if your work area on both machines has the same orientation / starting point.

There are a few things to consider when transferring files between different computers to ensure they produce what you’d expect.

  • Export your known-good Devices Profile and import to the other system(s) where you will want to share files

  • Install same fonts on all systems where you will share files, or convert all text to paths prior to transfer.

  • Copy your Materials Library (.CLB) and Art Library(.LBART) files to ensure you have all required assists available from all computers used for editing and running jobs.

Note: You could host the Library files on a shared/networked storage to help management of these assets.
