I use two computers for my laser work. One is a desktop on which I do my designs and the other is a laptop which is actually connected to the laser. I then do my laser work from the laptop. Lightburn is install on both systems.
My laptop has grown old and has become problematic. I have a new laptop which I will use to replace the old one, but I’m not sure how to do this. Do I have to deactivate the Lightburn license on the old laptop before installing on the new or can I just do the install, move my project files over and have at it.
Just do the install, copy the project files over files over to the new computer.
You should have at least one spare activation available on your license. If not, use the license portal to view your license activations, and delete any old unused activations if needed.
You can deactivate the license on your old laptop later.
Thanks Ed, this video gives step by step instructions which I found very helpful. The task has now been completed successfully. I really appreciate all of the help. Now back to lasering
