Trotec Layered Plastic Engraving

Good afternoon (US). I’ve recently acquired some engraving plastic from a company called Trotec. It has a thin color layer over a color plastic and can be engraved. I’ve done a couple of test runs and it turns out not so good. I’m using an Ortur 4.5W (true output) blue LED to engrave with at 80% power.

Has anybody else had any experience with this type of material that might be able to share some tips?

Just a guess but that plastic is likely designed specifically for CO2 lasers which use a different wavelength. You likely don’t have enough power, especially given the different wavelength.
