Hey everyone, I’m very new to laser engraver. I picked up one of those craigslist deals on a sculpfun s30 pro. Appears to be barely used. Guy seemed pretty legit said everything worked well for him. When I set up at my house, I downloaded light burn and it’s the first time I’ve used the program. Every time I try to create an image, after about a minute to 2 minutes, my laser starts going crazy and starts to just randomly go everywhere basically. When I make circles, after the same amount of time it’ll start making ladder steps. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated whether this is a software thing or a mechanical issue with the laser.
Things ive checked :
-Stepper motors do not feel hot as far as i can tell
-Tightened belt that drives both X and Y axis.
-Checked set screws in pulleys on stepper motors
All checked out so far, but should i potentially double check one of those particular things? Maybe when i have one or 3 less beers in me from frustration over the hours i’ve been trying to figure this out
