Was hoping to talk to someone about getting better quality engraving from our boss laser on tumblers…well everything honestly. We have an epilog that engraves flawlessly and are just struggling to get the Boss dialed in. this is the quality we are seeing. Tumblers are from JDS
Opinion: You’re looking at the difference between a “Request Pricing” laser and a better-than-average machine.
I assume the photo is rotated 90°, so the machine is scanning the tumbler parallel to the X axis.
You might get small improvements by tweaking the Line Interval and Scanning Offset Adjustment, but there’s nothing obviously out of whack.
You are ultimately comparing two completely different class machines. Epilog is one of the top machines, RF tube, etc. Boss is a slower glass tube machine. Glass tubes do not fire anywhere near as accurately or as fast as RF tube machines. Show your settings from LightBurn that you are running. In my opinion, you will never get the same accuracy and quality out of a Boss machine that you get out of your Epilog. I’ve ran both, and there is ultimately no comparison.
