Trying Whitewashed Pine for Photo

With untreated pine could never get good results engraving photos
With this pine I generously applied Lacquer thinner then lightly sprayed on flat white paint
Waited 2 minutes then rubbed in rubbed off excess paint like a stain

1200 mm/min 65% power 339 DPI

105 minutes

It will take a few tries Iā€™m sure. My 100w CO2 laser is tough to turn down far enough to get good engraving on soft woods and such.
