I create an object and use two layer with the same settings other than scan angle, Layer 1 set to 0 scan angle and sub layer (2) set to 180 and it engraves say Left to Right then Right to Left, I use the same setting on my Rotary and it either runs only one layer or restarts only going say Clockwise.
Is it possible to get it to run Clockwise then Counterclockwise?
Following along.
I don’t think so. To change direction I have to switch the wires. Something to experiment with though. And when turning the opposite direction, the slices still think it is rotating the correct direction so the engraving is made up of the correct slices in the opposite order.
I have found, messing with the table, if I use +90 or -90 the table still moves the same direction but -90 the slice scans left to right, and if I use +90 the scan moves right to left. so probably same with rotary, except for typical orientation it would be zero or 180, haven’t gone back and checked. Seemed like even using bidirectional the plus or minus still made the same difference. (but have to double check that.)
I l Know on the bed setting Layer 1 to 0 and Layer 2 (sub layer) to 180 works and should work on rotary going clockwise and counter clockwise as opposed to left and right.
If it works on one it should work on the other. there is no difference. I am going to try again, never got the table or rotary to do what you suggest before.
