Typefaces - A specific typeface appears in Lightburn on one computer but not on another computer. Is there a way to fix this?
The obvious question: is the same font file / typeface installed on both computers?
A quick test: select that face in the same word processor on both computers.
Which may seem silly, but a missing font file has tripped up plenty of other folks in a similar situation … me, among them.
Yes, install the missing font/typeface on the other computer. If you do a web search I expect you’ll find it on at least one of the many font sites. What’s the name of the font/typeface?
Thank you. I always thought typefaces were unique components of specific software such as MS word, Adobe Illustrator, etc. This is very helpful. Good to know I can use even more type styles with LB.
Thanks. The font is Canto Pen semi-bold
Extra fonts are sometimes included with certain software but once installed are available to any other application installed on your system. This particular font appears to be a commercial font (ie. you have to purchase it) and has possibly been installed with an application that’s present on one computer but not on the other. Unless you want to purchase the font it might be worth trying to find a similar free one that you can install on both systems.
There are many sites where you can download fonts. Here are some:

… and the list goes on.
That should keep you occupied for a while
Thanks again!
