Trying to upgrade from LB 0806 to 0902…keep getting a access denied message and cant delete

am i missing something?

Make sure it isn’t running in the background, possibly? Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc and look for LightBurn in the task manager. If it’s running already you wouldn’t be able to replace it.

When you say “can’t delete”, which file can’t you delete?

It will be the same process in windows 7. Did you even try it? I have had to do this many times in Win 7.
